Classes

Constructing Hope conducts four adult Pre-Apprenticeship Training classes per year (plus one Youth Summer Program).

Pre-Apprenticeship Training classes are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for 10 weeks (note that the final week of class is Monday through Friday for Hazwoper training – Hazardous Waste, Operations, and Emergency Response).

FROM THE TRAINING, STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE:

  • Certifications in areas including flagging, OSHA 10 (safety), CPR/first aid, confined space, and Hazwoper
  • On-site work experience
  • Life skills
  • Financial and budgeting skills
  • Ethics training
  • Apprenticeship and trade information
  • Job search and interviewing skills
  • Hard hat, safety goggles, gloves, program binder, and journal for notes on everything learned in the program
  • Referrals to organizations that provide trade-specific tools
